INSPIRE STUDIOS & INSPIRE ACADEMY
Inspire Studios is currently pitching and developing a number of TV/Film projects. However, Inspire Academy in conjunction with Inspire Studios currently hosts TV/Film educational programs predominantly for middle and high school youth in Newark, Atlanta and Philadelphia. We believe exposing our youth to high earning careers will open up worlds of opportunity and create generational change for young people. Once we find our permanent home, we’ll fully incorporate our classes to include our other two pillars of finance and technology. While we’re looking for a permanent home for Inspire Academy, our current TV/Film programming consists of three phases.
PHASE I: SCREENWRITING
- Group conversations to learn about each other, our personal experiences and common issues/concerns in our lives
- Group exploration of social justice issues, themes, and socially engaged art & films
- Discussions with experienced filmmakers
- Introduction to dramatic storytelling and screenwriting
- Group writing exercises to outline themes, story & characters
PHASES II + III: PRODUCTION + EDITING
INTRODUCTION TO FILMMAKING ROLES
Work with experienced filmmaking professionals in:
- PRODUCING + DIRECTING
- PRODUCTION DESIGN AND CASTING
- SOUND RECORDING
- CINEMATOGRAPHY
- EDITING
